Add a Sprinkle of Salt to your next Holiday!
The good people over at Salt Boutique Guest House were kind enough to invite me and my “SALT BAE” over to enjoy a stay for my birthday and to experience their accommodation offering and we were super impressed!
Thank You Mr. President
Now with my birthday month being in August and 9 times out of 10 it would pour down with rain, putting a sombre mood to birthday celebrations. However, this year was different. There was no rain, only sunshine and to make things even more special the President had just lifted the ban on alcohol and reopened intra-provincial travel for business and leisure purposes. Things were looking up and just in time for me to enjoy my birthday.
Post Lockdown Getaway
Now with the country in a more upbeat mood, it was the perfect time to go out and explore. This was our first post lockdown getaway. We needed the break and when Salt called, we hopped at the opportunity.
Where is Salt Boutique Guest House?
Salt can be found a mere 30mins from Cape Town in the seaside suburb of Bloubergstrand. I guess they named the guest house because it can be found at a:
Why Choose Salt?
SALT is a 5 star 8 bedroom boutique guest house. Located mere minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean in the heart of Blouberg. where you will be spoiled with stunning views of Robben Island, Table Mountain and the most magical sunsets! It is close to the windsurfing capital beach, a quick ride from the surrounding Winelands and under 30mins drive from Cape Town International airport. SALT invites you to indulge in all that makes this location exceptional while relaxing in the many amenities the village of villas has to offer.
What does each Villa Offer?
Each villa has been named to honour people that influenced the build and creation of the SALT Boutique Guest House. Father or plumber, friends or electrician – everyone played their part. All our rooms are operated by Google (yes, the rooms come standard with a Google Assistant) voice activation to make your experience at SALT smooth and relaxed. Check with Google what the weather is, what restaurants are in the area, or even her recommendations on what tours you can do in Cape Town.
So, What did I think about the Place?
My overall experience was one of relaxation and definitely recommended for a much-needed break away from the city. It was so much fun interacting with the Google Assistant. “Hey, Google close the curtains, hey Google open the blinds, hey Google what’s the weather like tomorrow”, you get the point.
Having just stayed over for a quick one night staycation, I would really need to head back soon just to give the pool a go. With my birthday being in winter, there was no way I was going to take a dip.
Salt Boutique Guest House is absolutely stunning and the interior and exterior design make for the perfect setting for those gram shots. Most of you have probably seen some of the amazing shots coming from Salt, so don’t miss out and head their way book a stay and get those insta-worthy shots.
